After completing his studies in law at the Universities of Geneva and Zürich (Bachelor’s Degree  2007; Master’s Degree 2008), Vincent MAITRE spent two years with Perréard – De Boccard SA in Geneva.

After his admission to the Geneva Bar, Vincent MAITRE joined Canonica & Associés.

In 2014, he joined JANIN WAEBER MAITRE as Partner.

Vincent MAITRE advises and represents corporate and private clients within a broad spectrum of legal areas, and he appears before civil, criminal and administrative courts.

Vincent MAITRE’s areas of expertise include, in particular:

  • contract law
  • lease agreements and real estate contracts
  • labour law
  • corporate law
  • recovery proceedings and bankruptcy
  • administrative law
  • criminal law
  • family law, inheritance law and succession planning

In addition to his practice as an attorney, Vincent MAITRE has held and continues to hold several political offices.

As Vice President of his politic party in Geneva, he served as member of the City Council from 2007 to 2009.

In 2009, he was elected to the Parliament of the Republic and Canton of Geneva where he is currently a member of the Presidency.

As member of the Parliament of the Republic and Canton of Geneva, Vincent MAITRE has served on numerous committees, including the Committee for Management and Financial Control, the “Ad Hoc Justice 2011” Committee, the Petition Committee and the Human Rights Committee. He has also served as Group Leader for his politic party in Parliament.

Vincent MAITRE currently presides the Tax Committee, the Judiciary Committee and the Police Committee of the Parliament of the Republic and Canton of Geneva.

Vincent MAITRE also serves as member of the Board of Directors of various private institutions:

  • Chairman of the Board of Swiss Ambulance Rescue Geneva SA (SAR)
  • Board member of Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS)
  • Board member of FULE
  • Board member of Fondation Pacifique

He works in French and English.
